Ms. Susan Shachar

Ms. Shachar has a rich, diversified teaching background. Coming to our school in 1987, she instructed children in the third, fourth, and fifth grades prior to becoming the Coordinator of PACE (Programs for Academic and Creative Enrichment) and Director of Curriculum Development. Following receiving her BA from UCLA, she completed her teaching credential and M.A. in Special Education from California State University, Northridge. In addition, Ms. Shachar was certified in Gifted Instruction through the National Association for Gifted Children. With her diverse background, she seeks to provide educational experiences that meet the diverse learning needs of the individual children in the classroom.

To add to her teaching repertoire, Ms. Shachar participated in the UCLA Writing Project, the California Arts Project, and numerous other professional development experiences. Educating children is a joyful and challenging pursuit for Ms. Shachar. She looks forward to bringing her rich experience to the classroom as a sixth grade teacher.
