Ms. Neal possesses many years experience as a teacher, parent, and volunteer in independent schools. She received a teaching credential and earned a B.A. in Liberal Studies with a Creative Writing Concentration with honors and distinction from CSUN. She was awarded a Presidential Scholarship Award, which enabled her to pursue writing music for children with a special faculty mentor.
Ms. Neal’s career in the music business included a recording contract with RCA Records, contributing to an Emmy Award for Best Music in a Dramatic Series, and guest lecturing at Yale University Summer Intensive Film Workshop. She composed the music for several children’s albums.
Ms. Neal believes children learn in different ways, and uses her creative background to make learning accessible and fun for all students. Ms. Neal takes pride in engaging her students in creative and rewarding academic experiences, promoting student engagement and academic success.
