Rabbi Liat Yardeni-Funk

Rabbi Liat Yardeni-Funk attended rabbinical school while she worked at Milken Community High School as the Director of Yozma, Milken’s Student Leadership Initiative for Social Action, and taught Talmud.  She was also the Director of Education at Camp Ramah in Ojai, California where her curriculum “Israel, Then Now & Forever” was taught to over 2,000 campers. Prior to attending Rabbinical School, Rabbi Yardeni-Funk was the Director of Education and Principal of the Sephardic Temple Tiffereth Israel Religious School in Westwood.

Rabbi Yardeni-Funk earned her B.A. in Psychology from UCLA, and her M.A. in Education from CSUN.  Rabbi Yardeni-Funk earned her second Master’s Degree in Rabbinic Studies and her Rabbinic Ordination from the Academy for Jewish Religion (AJR-CA). She was born and raised in Jerusalem, and was an officer in the Israeli Defense Force.  Rabbi Yardeni-Funk and her husband Mark are the parents of Karen and Yoni.
