Ms. Nesteby has a M.A. in Special Education from George Washington University. She worked for three years in Maryland, teaching both general and special education students.
She grew up in Long Beach, attended Claremont and received a B.A. in Government. She holds California Multiple Subject and Education Specialist teaching credentials.
Ms. Nesteby served two years in the Peace Corps, working in an inner-city in Kingston, Jamaica. She worked with a variety of youth recreation and education programs and became convinced that high quality education is vital to bringing positive world change.
Ms. Nesteby believes that a good educator should work to meet each student’s individual needs while providing a safe and nurturing environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from each other.
