At Stephen S. Wise, we want to make quality, dynamic Jewish education a reality for as many families as possible. Therefore, we offer need based financial assistance to families who qualify.
Applications for existing students and applicants are due on Friday, February 8, 2013.
Financial Aid grants are awarded on the basis of parental need. As part of the process, we require that parents complete a Parents’ Financial Statement through the School and Student Services for Financial Aid. You will be required to fill out the form online at sss.nais.org/parents our school code is 7473. Please click on the link below titled “Financial Aid Checklist” to obtain a detailed list of all documents required for your application. Families with more than one child in school need only complete one application. All children, regardless of school attendance, must be included on the application.
Renewal is based on proof of continued family need. The committee takes into account all sources of income, expenses, debts, and priority of spending. The number of children, as well as their age, is taken into consideration when determining aid. Please be advised that families with a past due balance on their account will need to bring their account current before the application for financial aid will be reviewed.
In the case of divorced or separated families, the non-custodial parent must also submit a full application for financial aid. The school will not be bound to the assertion of one parent that he or she is not responsible for educational expenses, even in the case of divorce or remarriage. If information from both parents is not available at the time the application is evaluated, it may result in a lesser award or no award at all.
Your Financial Aid application and required documents outlined on the Financial Aid Checklist are due no later than Friday, February 8, 2013. The application must be completed IN FULL (all items outlined on the checklist) in order to be considered for financial aid. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
