Mrs. Debbie Norwood

Mrs. Norwood received a B.A. in Child Development, with a Specialization in Early Childhood Education, and her teaching credential from California State University, Northridge. She holds an Early Childhood Judaica teaching credential from the Bureau of Jewish Education. Since1984 she has been a member of our faculty. In 1998 she received the Jewish Educator of the Year Award from the Bureau of Jewish Education and the Milken Family Foundation.

Mrs. Norwood’s goal is to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in the classroom, to nurture and respect the dignity of children as individuals, to teach them to believe in themselves, and to help them to be the very best that they can be.

“Teaching is one of the most challenging and rewarding professions there is, and it is truly a part of my soul. I go to school each morning because of the children. This is where I belong.”
