Digital Lens

Within a creative environment, students learn the practical skills of photography from capturing images to the history of photography and an appreciation for photography as a tool to tell stories about Jewish history and culture. In our Digital Lens program students become thoughtful viewers of photographs and images, learning to distinguish the subjective from the objective as well as the impact of perspective on the story on image conveys. Students learn elements of composition such as color, pattern, line and texture. After students capture images they learn the elements of digital work flow and later curate their collections for our school’s digital displays and exhibition spaces on campus.
