Our grade level Chesed projects are in full swing, and each grade is actively involved in learning about social action. Our fourth grade has selected Sova as their project, and throughout the year they work on collecting Sova, gathering Passover items and visiting the Sova pantry. Last week the fourth grade students, with the help of our art teacher Jan Navah, repainted the old wooden Sova box in the lobby of the Sanctuary and brought it to life with their positive energy. As students from all grades dropped off their cans of food I overheard their comments about how beautiful this box now looks; I invite you to stop by the Sanctuary and see it for yourself. Other recent field trips around Chesed projects were our third grade trip to Tree People and their dedication of an amazing mural, and our fantastic kindergarten trip to the zoo this week to see their adopted animals. This is another example of taking curriculm and Judaic values and bringing them to life with meaningful experiences, and I am so proud of all of our students!
