This week we are so excited to welcome all of our families to our Open House evenings. The energy in the classrooms and hallways was palpable as students shared with their parents the work and projects they have been completing. It was great to hear kids read an essay, show off a poem, and demonstrate their Hebrew proficiency. In our Science Fair the sixth grade students confidently ran through their hypothesis, experiments and conclusions, and each topic was unique and extremely interesting. Another highlight of the night was a visit to Hershenson Hall and our amazing Art Show. Jan Navah has once again woven her magic through the grades with outstanding art pieces, paintings, drawings and much more. The students were so proud of their individual art projects, and every adult was truly impressed with the work our kids accomplished. It was also wonderful to see the integration of Judaic values and images in the various art exhibits. Walking through the gallery I heard many positive comments and one father shared, “We certainly didn’t do art like this when I grew up… I didn’t know my son had this hidden talent!” The joy of Open House is that all teachers are able to bring to light the talents of our students, and I truly hope you enjoyed the experience.
