One of our goals this year is to continue to build our wonderful sense of community at Stephen S. Wise Elementary. This goal is achieved through our special Shabbat and holiday services, Monday morning assemblies, school celebrations, and of course, our Spirit Days. The Student Council representatives truly serve their classes and school by meeting monthly and planning these wonderful days. Today was an example of the fun sense of creativity our students have. We all wore our pajamas, a few had robes and slippers, and some of the teachers even had curlers in their hair! While we were cozy and warm we did lots of learning and work in class. Then it was time for lunch and a visit to the delicious ice cream truck. Students came to Faber Field to have a scoop of ice cream, enjoy the beautiful afternoon, and connect with one another. I overheard one student say, “This was the best day ever!” and I think his sentiment was felt by all. I want to thank our Student Council leadership and teacher sponsors for putting this event together and helping us continue to “Celebrate What’s Right.”
