The goal of the art program at Wise is to develop students’ awareness and love of art, to nurture and promote creative thinking and problem solving, and to encourage and empower students through the creation of original work. The art program integrates themes and topics from grade level curriculum, and exposes students to famous artists and works of art. They are challenged to think like architects, designers, inventors, and fine artists. Students produce two and three dimensional projects applying basic design elements and principles and using a variety of media. A school-wide art exhibit representing the work of every child culminates each school year.
