Ms. Cynthia Rahm

Miss Rahm initially became a part of Stephen S. Wise Elementary as a 4th grade teacher in 2009. Since then, she has lived and taught in both Florida and Washington State. In 2012, she rejoined our faculty and settled back into her hometown of Los Angeles.

Miss Rahm earned a B.A. in Liberal Studies at San Diego State University. In 2011, she obtained a M.A. in Education from the University of Washington. Miss Rahm believes that children learn best through inquiry in order to develop their interest in content. She relates material to the world beyond the school, so that students see the relevance of the content and connect with it in ways that are engaging and challenging. Miss Rahm believes that students who learn in this way begin to reflect on their roles and responsibilities as learners and become actively involved with their learning.
