Ms. Sara Roth

Ms. Roth received her BS in Elementary Education from the University of Hartford in Hartford, Conneticut. During her undergraduate studies, she volunteered for multiple agencies such as the Girl Scouts of America and Connecticut Reads. She continues to study education and recently completed her National Directors Certification. She has also traveled to Italy and immersed herself in the Reggio Emila philosophy.

Ms Roth has been an educator for 17 years. Her experience is diverse and extensive. She has worked with children of all ages including those as young as sixteen months and teenagers, in vaious settings. Some of her most memorable teaching experiences have been in the Stephen S. Wise ECC, and at her current summer teaching job on Great Island in Cape Cod.

Her educational philosophy is to first listen to her children. To get to know them individually and connect with each child on their level. Learning should be fun. She wants all children to experince the many joys in the world and share them thoughout their day. Being a teacher requires nurturing, inspiring and motivating and when all of those pieces come together it is an amazing learning experience for all.
