Sara Herscher was born and raised Los Angeles, California. She attended Stephen S. Wise from Mommy and Me until the 6th grade and then Oakwood from 7th to 12th grade. She attended the University of Wisconsin, Santa Monica City College and UC Santa Barbara, where she majored in Sociology. Throughout college she worked at the Stephen S. Wise Early Childhood Center, and is looking forward to working in the Elementary School at Stephen S. Wise. She is happy to return to the place where she grew up, and to growing as an educator in her work with elementary school children. She feels fortunate to have this wonderful opportunity.
Sara was very involved in theater in high school and still considers acting one of her passions. She love animals, taking hikes, swimming in the ocean, traveling, skateboarding, snowboarding, amusement parks, and going out to breakfast. Her family and friends mean the world to her and she loves spending time with them, whether they are out having a fun adventure or just staying in and watching movies or cooking together.
