Mrs. Roberta Lloyd

A native of Los Angeles, Mrs. Lloyd attended UCLA where she received her B.A. in Sociology and her Master’s in Library Science. Prior to joining Stephen S. Wise Temple, Mrs. Lloyd worked for the Los Angeles Public Library as a Children’s Librarian, Young Adult Librarian, and Adult Reference Librarian. She was involved with the library’s Shut-In program providing library services to the home-bound. Mrs. Lloyd has also conducted research projects for a number of consulting firms.

In her capacity here as Library Director of the Kadner and Diener Families Library, Mrs. Lloyd teaches library skills to students, and manages library operations. She particularly enjoys introducing the children to the treasures of the library and encouraging the love of books and reading. She is currently the Chair of the Dorothy Schroeder Memorial Fund Committee and is on the Advisory Committee of the Association of Jewish Libraries of Southern California.
