Mrs. Tanner received a B.A. in History and Education, a certificate in Early Childhood Education, a multiple teaching credential, and an additional credential in Social Sciences to teach in Grades K-12 from UCLA.
In addition to teaching General Studies and Judaic Studies, Mrs. Tanner has been a First Grade Religious School teacher. In 1996, she received the Hanna Amir Scholarship Award from the Bureau of Jewish Education for continuation in Jewish Studies. She has been a DeLet Mentor for students from Hebrew Union College. Mrs. Tanner began teaching in 1988 and has been here since 1996. “I love being a teacher because I get to be a part of the journey of each of my students on their way to becoming educated, passionate, lifelong learners. My goal is to instill in them a love of learning by providing an academically stimulating environment where engaging lessons and an exchange of thoughts and ideas occur, and where everyone in the classroom is respected and cared for. “
