Mrs. Pauline Kim

Mrs. Kim has been a science specialist at Wise since 1993, and a math specialist. She has taught science over 20 years. She was born in New York and raised there and in Massachusetts. She enjoys living in Los Angeles because of the proximity of such a diversity of ecosystems - the ocean, mountains, desert, and the chaparral of our local Santa Monica Mountains.

Mrs. Kim earned her degree in Biology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She received her teaching credential from California State University, Northridge.
Mrs. Kim encourages children's natural sense of curiosity, wonder, and inventiveness as they develop the skills of experimenting, thinking logically, and communicating their observations and discoveries. Mrs. Kim enjoys integrating math into her science classes and science into her math classes. Her hobbies are raising silkworms and playing the flute.
