With over 25 years teaching art and a M.A. in Art Education, Mrs. Navah has created an exciting art program here at Wise. She received the Milken Family Foundation's Distinguished Educator of the Year Award and enjoys contributing her time as art leader for the Bureau of Jewish Education's various teacher workshops. In addition to teaching, she is responsible for the creation of numerous murals and art displays on campus. Mrs. Navah’s rich Judaic background combined with her love for Israel is evident in the art projects she creates for her students. By integrating her art lessons with the subjects students are learning in their other classes, they are able to make connections that tie thoughts together through various media. As students begin to understand history and culture through artists and their work, the concepts they are learning are enhanced and illuminated. The annual art show featuring original art work by every student in the school demonstrates her students' creative growth and their development of a lifelong appreciation of art.
